Pedro Rael is producing a fabulous new Mariachi concert this year for the Valencia County Literacy Council (VCLC):  a show called, “The Women of Mariachi.” The show will include the magnificent talents of Mayela Alejandra, Lydia Solano, and Sandra Montoya along with the Mariachi Tenampa in a performance designed to honor women on Mexico’s national Mother’s Day, May 10.  Romano Enrique will make a special guest appearance in the second half of the show.

   “All of these same performers were at the Matanza this year, and it was standing room only,” Pete says.  The dance group Baila Baila will perform six dances from different regions of Mexico, and VCLC will be holding a Live and Silent Auction during the event.
